Microbreweries

Tap into more than two dozen craft breweries.

The Inland Northwest is home to 27 craft breweries, and gaining a reputation as a beer lover’s destination. That just naturally seems to go with a convention destination, doesn’t it? We have all the varieties beer enthusiasts know and love, from ales to lagers, blondes to stouts, malty bocks to hoppy IPAs. A quick tour of the region’s tap houses includes locally-inspired cuisine (this ain’t your typical “pub food”), as well as unique atmospheres and behind-the-scenes tours. Find local craft breweries and beer stores, or take an extended tour via the Inland Northwest Ale Trail.

Dining

Cuisine, globally and locally inspired.

Dining tastes can be all over the board. Luckily, our array of dining styles is all over the globe. Steak houses. Seafood, fresh from the Pacific Northwest. Ethnic cuisines from every continent. Our culinary artisans include numerous James Beard recognized chefs, bringing true meaning to the term “local flavor.” That means award-winning meals, ranging from locally hand-crafted charcuterie to Northwest trout to Asian fusion to satisfying burgers and brews. See a complete list of dining destinations for culinary escapes to whet the appetite.

Accommodations

Your rooms are ready.

A memorable convention experience starts (and ends) with a nice space to wind down and relax. We have comfort covered—and always with a soft, cozy blanket. Our magnificent expanded Convention Center now features 1,100+ connected hotel rooms, as well as 3,300+ bookable rooms within eight blocks. That makes it easy to go from “meet” to “street” in just a few steps. See a complete list of accommodation options.

Attractions

More to see and more to do.

A vibrant convention destination isn’t just about the buildings and architecture (although our stunning new expanded Convention Center and new connected Davenport Grand Hotel are architectural wonders waiting to be explored). Our meetings and conventions go beyond the facilities, the meeting spaces, and the buildings—crossing into the territory of experiences. This is exactly why Spokane offers a full itinerary of possibility, ranging from spectacular Riverfront Park (and numerous other parks) to farmers’ markets to entertainment to sports to…literally everything and anything. See a list of attractions and fun things to do, including our current events.

Nature

Near Nature. Near Perfect.

It defines not only where we are, but also who we are. As a modern city built around the second-highest urban waterfalls in the United States, nature just comes to us, well, naturally. Which means conventions and meetings also happen naturally. Downtown Riverfront Park, the crown jewel of our city park system, is literally outside the doors of our Convention Center. In fact, so is the path of the magnificent Centennial Trail, which stretches all the way to the Idaho border and offers scenic river and nature vistas for hiking or biking. Dozens of nearby lake, stream, forest and mountain destinations are literally minutes away, making it easy to experience the wonder and grandeur of the great outdoors. Shopping

National Brands to Local Boutiques.

Sure, a convention or meeting here means unforgettable memories of the Inland Northwest. Many of those memories are available for purchase, thanks to the fantastic array of shopping choices we offer. Possibilities for retail therapy include destination malls and shopping centers with well-known national brands, boutiques with one-of-a-kind gifts, shops with locally-crafted keepsakes, and so much more. Best of all, Spokane’s downtown retail shopping district is just across the street from our Convention Center. You’re welcome. See a list of shopping options ready to lead the charge.

Cork District

Award-winning wines.

Spokane’s Cork District is synonymous with delicious wine, thanks to Washington’s amazing vineyards in the renowned Columbia, Yakima, and Walla Walla valleys. Our vintners (more than 20 wineries) add new accolades every year, and Spokane’s passionate winemakers love to share the fruits of their labors. After your sessions end, walk to one of the numerous wineries and tasting rooms downtown (and around the area) or extend your stay and book a wine package here!

Outdoor Adventure

Go outside and play.

A convention or meeting in Spokane is an adventure waiting to be discovered. For starters, the scenic vistas of forests and mountain ranges all across the Inland Northwest are breathtaking—as are the outdoor adventures in every season. Golf, whitewater rafting, boating, rock climbing, and much more dominate our warmer months. Winter escapes include snow skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and tubing. Whatever time of year, whatever the taste for adventure—extreme sports to scenic cruises—Spokane’s destinations are as big as all outdoors.

Convention Center

The Center of It All.

We could have simply added more space to our convention center and left it at that. Instead, we chose to use it as a starting point. We now have a total of 500,000 square feet of space, 120,000 square feet of exhibit space, and 40 meeting rooms. We have a new Centennial Ballroom that’s a true riverfront experience, along with options for outdoor meeting spaces including terraces and a plaza. We have locally crafted sculpture and art throughout the facility and along the Spokane River Centennial Trail. All just steps away from our downtown core. Take a peek at more of our Convention Center amenities.
